In China where I live, January 28 is New Year’s Day. Some friends and I watched the 4-hour gala last night where China ushered in the Year of the Chicken, which also happens to be my year.
Internationally, January 28 is Data Privacy Day in commemoration of the day in 1981 when the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection was signed by the European Council. Much of the work on cyber security is done by the National Cyber Security Alliance, a non-profit, private-public partnership dedicated to promoting a safer and more secure internet.
