The Chakmas are an ethnic group found in eastern India, western Myanmar, and in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. There are over 434,000 Chakmas. The Chakma have their own language, Changma Vaj. Its writing system is very similar to Khmer script used in Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.
