World Vegan Day

November 1 is World Vegan Day. It was established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, then President & Chair of The Vegan Society, UK in commemoration of the founding of the Vegan Society in 1944.

One third of the people in the UK are trying to eat less meat and one in eight is a vegetarian. So says Olivia Petter of The Independent.

The Vegan Society claims that the number of vegans quadrupled between 2014 and 2018.
