Mother’s Day in Mexico

Today is Mother’s Day in Mexico where I lived for almost ten years. It’s very big there. Phone lines are jammed because everyone is calling their mother.

Normal paydays in Mexico are on the 5th and the 20th of each month. By making it the 10th, people will have gotten their first paycheck and still have time to buy something for their mother before it’s all gone.
