This is a delightful book by author and illustrator Rachel Ignotofsky.

February 11 is also my mother’s birthday. She wanted to be a scientist but had little support from her family. She married before she finished nurse’s training and soon all her energy was devoted to raising four children. In spite of her difficulties, she left the world a better place than the way she found it.
