February 16 is Elizabeth Peratrovich Day in Alaska, celebrating the woman and her family who campaigned for and won equality for Alaska Natives in 1945, making Alaska the first state in the Union to pass anti-discrimination laws.
On March 20, 2019 Peratrovich was featured in the New York Times series Overlooked No More.
